Victims Attacked While Sleeping
Atlanta- Fulton County District Attorney Paul L. Howard, Jr. announces bond was denied for 48-year-old Martin Blackwell on May 5th, 2016. He was indicted on eight counts of Aggravated Battery and two counts of Aggravated Assault.
On February 12th, 2016, Blackwell allegedly took boiling hot water into the room of his girlfriend’s son. Then, the defendant allegedly threw the scalding hot water upon the two victims. The men suffered second and third degree burns.
The trial is set for August 22nd, 2016 at the Fulton County Courthouse. It is set to begin at 9:30 a.m. If convicted, Blackwell could possibly receive a sentence to serve up to 80 years in prison.
