Fulton County District Attorney, Paul Howard, Jr. announces that Journalist, Nakell Williams has joined the Office of the Fulton County District Attorney as the new public affairs manager.

“Williams brings a unique combination of skills and experience in communications and PR which will serve my office and the Fulton County community well, as we work to share more with the public about what we do every day to make Fulton County a safer place to live,” said Fulton County District Attorney, Paul Howard, Jr. Williams, a South Carolinian, has worked for both ABC and CBS affiliate stations as a reporter and multimedia journalist as well as capitol bureau chief covering politics and general assignment stories.  Williams has earned several accolades including an honor by Community Broadcasting for her journalistic abilities.

Williams has also served as communications/public relations coordinator in the educational field including for the Freehold Regional High School District, one of the largest and highest performing high school districts in the state of New Jersey.  Her work earned her several awards including the Gold and Silver Star Communications Awards issued by the New Jersey School Public Relations Association.

Williams earned a B.A. in Mass Communications from Francis Marion University and M.P.A. in Public Policy from Clark Atlanta University. After graduation, she went on to serve the New York State Division of Budget in Albany, NY and the Governor’s Office of Planning & Budget in Atlanta, GA. In both roles Williams managed programs relating to community affairs, economic development, and environmental conservation.

“I am excited to join Mr. Howard and his team and to communicate the important work they do in service to the residents of Fulton County,” Williams said.
