FULTON COUNTY GRAND JURY INDICTS MARTIN BLACKWELL

Martin Blackwell Indicted for Pouring Scalding Water on Two Gay Men

Atlanta-Fulton County District Attorney Paul L. Howard, Jr. announces the indictment by the Fulton County Grand Jury of Martin Blackwell for pouring scalding water on two gay men. Martin Blackwell has been indicted for eight counts of Aggravated Battery and two counts of Aggravated Assault. Blackwell was the boyfriend of one of the men’s mothers. If convicted, Blackwell could possibly receive a sentence of 80 years to serve. Georgia does not have a sentence enhancement for Hate Crimes.
